The titles of Donald Jacobson’s books are fantastically timed. Emphasizing the superheroes of the COVID-19 pandemic, both books portray healthcare workers, essential employees and parents in a special light. Both My Daddy the Amazing Nurse! and Mighty Mommies and Their Amazing Jobs! aim to show children how important the efforts of essential workers truly are. Jacobson hopes that the books will not only offer children entertainment, but also teach them something special about the heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic.
